My students continue to utilize the ClickN Kids Phonics and Spelling programs. They are a very diverse group of middle school special needs students, disabilities ranging from severe to moderate. It has been a challenging task finding a program that "works" for everyone but this computer based program fits the bill. The students are motivated to learn and enjoy the lesson formats. They feel like they are doing age-appropriate tasks even though the content is well below grade/age ability. Formal and informal test results show marked improvements in reading and reading ability skills. I have witnessed gains in attention and attention span limits.
